Goodbye Sleepless Streets, Hello Suburban Weeks

I’ve come to realize why people move away from home and never come back.
Oftentimes, people leave their hometown for work or school and find a whole new world; a busier world, after finding such going back to the chill lifestyle of yesteryear seems like…. it almost seems wrong, for me at least.
Here I sit with my hair in a top bun, facemask on, candles lit with a cup of tea and an acoustic album playing and yet it feels so wrong to be relaxing. I’d gone from waking up every day with having some sort of deadline coming up whether it was for my classes or my 2 internships that I was juggling; to waking up and either going to my part time retail job or just waking up with nothing but time and I absolutely hate it.

I mean I know the reasoning behind it; but why is it something people deal with?

How can people live such different lifestyles and yet still live within a two-hour driving distance from one another? How is it possible to be so close to one of the busiest cities and yet live in such a different world? How can so many people live in the same city and still live such different lives as well?

I often ask questions that don’t have answers or don’t actually need answers but this is TheEnvyCollective is it not?
